Prayer and Preparation |
| |
| |
O, God, Whose infinite mercies
in our blessed Saviour encourages us to call upon You; We beseech
You graciously to bear us; and grant that we may both precise
and know what is Your good, and acceptable, and perpect will revealed
to us, and also have grace and power to faithfully fulfill the
same, that we may present ourselves a living sacrifice, holy and
acceptable to You, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. |

Respond by confessing Our Sins |
| |
|
O
Almighty God, heavenly Father, I have sinned against you and against
my neighbour, in thought word and deed, in the evil I have done
and in the good I have not done, through ignorance, through weakness,
and through my own deliberate fault. I am truly sorry and repent
of all my sins. For the sake of your Son, Jesus Christ, who died
for me, forgive me all that is past; and grant that I may serve
you in newness of life to the glory of your Name. Amen!

Psalm
6 |
| |
-
O
LORD, do not rebuke me in Your anger, Nor chasten me in Your
hot displeasure.
-
Have mercy on me, O LORD, for I am weak; O LORD, heal me,
for my bones are troubled.
-
My
soul also is greatly troubled; But You, O LORD--how long?
-
Return,
O LORD, deliver me! Oh, save me for Your mercies' sake!
-
For
in death there is no remembrance of You; In the grave who
will give You thanks?
-
I
am weary with my groaning; All night I make my bed swim; I
drench my couch with my tears.
-
My
eye wastes away because of grief; It grows old because of
all my enemies.
-
Depart
from me, all you workers of iniquity; For the LORD has heard
the voice of my weeping.
-
The LORD has heard my supplication; The LORD will receive
my prayer.
-
Let
all my enemies be ashamed and greatly troubled; Let them turn
back and be ashamed suddenly.

The
Lord's Supper is observed every Lord's Day. We warmly invite to
the Lord's Table all those who are baptized disciples of Jesus
Christ, under the authority of Christ and His body, the Church.
By eating the bread and drinking the wine with us as a visitor,
you are acknowledging that your are a sinner, without hope except
in the sovereign mercy of God, and that you are trusting in Jesus
Christ alone for salvation. You also acknowledge to the elders
of this congregation that you are in covenant with God, being
active in a congregation which is covenantally bound to the Triune
God through Word and sacrament. If you have any doubt about your
participation, please speak to the elders before the service. |
